OBJECTIVE 4B.5 - Find the volume of a rectangular, triangular, and circular prism and understand how changes of scale affect the surface area and volume (MG2.3b)

OBJECTIVE 4B.6 - SWBAT find the volume of a complex prism (e.g. a 3D “U”) (MG2.2b).

1. Take our your Homework Packet from last week AND your signed Objective Assessment 4B.2-3 and leave them on the edge of your desk to be collected.


2. Submit your Thinking Skills here (10 min).

3. INTRODUCTION TO NEW MATERIAL (20 min)- Close your computer to take notes on today's objective.

4. PRACTICE (20 min) - Find the volume of these shapes and track your answers using this form. Make a copy of the form and complete it after finding volume of both shapes.

5. CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING (5 min) - Submit your answer to the question "what happens to a shape's volume if you double its dimensions?"

6. ASSESSMENT (15 min) - Complete your 4B.4-6 exit slip.
